Dr Oenga is a researcher with a specialism in using participatory approaches to help multiple stakeholders to address the issues that matter to a community and to bring about change that addresses inequalities.

Esther has experience and understanding of managing and facilitating partnership and collaboration research projects with academics, early career researchers, community partners, community researchers working together as equal partners.

She has come to value and appreciate the approach of allowing the community to be in the driving seat, finding that it greatly contributes to sustainability of projects. Her strength is creating relationships among stake holders, collecting and analysing qualitative data.
