Jamie has been part of Just Ideas’ work on Every Story Matters – the listening exercise to inform the Covid Inquiry – including coordinating fieldwork teams for two of the modules.
Jamie has a PhD in Peacebuilding, which analysed the way that community groups operated in Northern Ireland, with particular focus on a grassroots approach known as “storytelling”, which aims to give voice to unheard narratives of conflict and bring together diverse groups at a local level. He is trained in a range of qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methods and a broad range of social research interests.
Jamie also has experience of interpreting complex community-level data into digestible reports that can be used to influence policy, having worked in policy research/advisory roles for MHCLG and AQA. Jamie also has an extensive background in teaching at both secondary and higher levels.
When Jamie isn’t researching something, he is probably running, or even better – researching something running-related.
